Day 2

Day 2 dawned dreary and dark, making it very difficult to take pictures and there weren't a lot of birds out early on. We divided into groups, rotating between the various bird blinds. Each blind was staffed by a local birder, which made our visit especially interesting.

At Acorn blind, since there were so few birds at the blind, or at least no new varieties arriving, our leader, Rhandy Helton, suggested we go walking. Rhandy was able to identify many birds in the bushes and trees, and I was able to snap photos of some of them.

Our local birders were: Ann Lemon/Lora's Blind; Rhandy Helton/Acorn Blind; Loree Pitts/Juniper Blind; and Elaine Council/Agarita Blind
